Is that the same rag that fired one of the most famous columnists in America. IIRC, he called Michael Brown an animal. https://www.hurherald.com/obits.php?id=57859. He apologized, sorta, kinda, for calling him an animal. The editorial writer rephrased that Brown was “a gigantic thug who was higher than a kite when he attacked Ferguson Police Department Officer Darren Wilson, who unfortunately had to put this animal down.” When asked for comment about his firing, he told Media Ethics by e-mail: “No comment. I want this to end.” Here's looking at you, kid.
Don: I beg your pardon, I NEVER apologized sorta, kinda or any other way. That was a decade ago. Move on. I did and I am making far more money now than the paper paid, thanks to readers like you.
Me: Poor choice of words on my part. And that's the most recognition I've had in 20 years. Remember the old Chinese proverb: When you. save someone's life, you're responsible for them forever. Not only did I get a blog, but I also have your comment section to opine. Live long and prosper., my 5th hero.
The only comment from the Daily Kos that defended the writer. 'Call it stochastic terrorism. It is what it is': 'What color is the sky in your legal definition’s world. If you can figure out without a doubt what is legal and what is not, I imagine that's gonna put many attorneys and judges out of work. I don't think they are worried. They only place you get to expound is on a unpaid anonymous blog. You would think knowing without a doubt what is legal and what is not, would demand a higher wage'.
Interesting you found the Hur Herald piece. Its founder was a dear friend of mine.
