Gov. Sanders (AR) on tariffs: Fastest way to get Trump to act is ‘tell him that he can’t’

The high court’s 6-3 ruling invalidated Trump’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose steep import taxes on almost all foreign trading partners. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion that IEEPA does not give the president authority to impose tariffs.

Sanders, in an interview with NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich, said the court’s ruling was “not only disappointing,” but “I think it’s wrong. I think Justice Thomas was exactly right,” she continued. “The Constitution grants the president this authority. But ultimately, I don’t think it matters. One of the things I love about Donald Trump is that the fastest way to get him to do something is to tell him that he can’t. And he has so many tools in his toolbox.”

GOP frets over competitive Texas Senate primary as early voting starts

Of course, Cornyn is worried, but only about his massacre. He has to get 50% + one to avoid a runoff. If DJT endorses him, Paxton may get more than 50%. He has the TPUSA endorsement.
